Exhaust Hood Service Checklist

Think it’s time to service or clean your Hood?

What should you be looking for when servicing your kitchen exhaust system?

Every restaurant owner or kitchen manager knows that sooner or later, the kitchen hood system is going to need maintenance. The time has come and now you want to do your due diligence. Questions such as, “what should I look for?” “How do I tell my exhaust system is working properly?” and “How to stay compliant with fire and health codes?” are all common questions that most business owners and managers have. So what do you do?

Before tackling the problem, here’s a basic checklist to get you going on the right track. The “Kitchen Hood Service Checklist” available below provides a general guideline on how to service your exhaust system and address any possible fire safety issues. Go down the checklist and inspect each item one by one. If you select NO for any of these questions, your exhaust system is not properly serviced and could be in violation of city health and or fire code. If you have any questions regarding this checklist please feel free to give our trained technicians a call at (323)-309-4348.
